Wayne Rooney will continue his venture into punditry after landing a job with TNT Sports.
The former England captain has previously appeared on Sky Sports and was part of the BBC’s coverage of Manchester United’s FA Cup clash with Nottingham Forest last week.
When United take on Everton in the Premier League this weekend Rooney will offer his insight and analysis as two of his former clubs face off at Old Trafford.
Joining Rooney in the studio for Saturday’s early kick off will be his former England teammates Rio Ferdinand and Joleon Lescott.
Punditry marks the latest professional venture for Rooney since he was sacked by Birmingham in January after securing just two wins in his three months in the dugout at St Andrew’s.

Shortly after his departure the keen amateur boxer was said to be in talks with crossover boxing promotion Misfits.
Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Rooney revealed he had received multiple offers to take an influencer boxing fight but insisted that a return to management remained his priority.
‘They’ve been in touch and asked the question but I think at the minute, I want to focus on getting back into management, not boxing.
‘Listen, I want to focus on getting back into management. That’s my focus. And I’ve seen all over the last couple of days all the headlines but my main focus is getting back in to football.’
After a successful spell in the MLS Rooney’s playing career came to an end during his time with Derby, hanging up his boots after replacing Phillip Cocu as the club’s boss.

Rooney earned plaudits during his time in the East Midlands, narrowly avoiding relegation in his first season in charge.
A slew of financial issues severely blighted Rooney’s second season at Pride Park, and he resigned following the club’s relegation to League One.
A return to DC United followed, though this time as the club’s head coach. In Washington Rooney spent two seasons without managing to make the MLS playoffs and parted ways with the club in October prior to joining Birmingham.
